The Home Experience Session 1

The Home experience is on a roll! The first session was held at Tara's house. Amazing salads were served and the table was beautiful! It's like Home Econ with a purpose.

The session was about the Dignity and Sanctity of the home. Reminding us as mothers that we are the guardians of our (physical) house and our homes. To imbue our homes with love and peace and protect it from those who wreck havoc in it (including clutter and unfolded laundry).

It reminds us that a welcoming home lessens the stress of the hubby who is coming home from long hours of work. That kids could express themselves and play safely in our midst. That our homes speak volumes and that it is our job to set that tone.

The first session was a very good one and I am looking forward to the next one which will be in Bridget's house on June 29, 2009. We hope to see more ladies on that session.

We ended with prayers. And the thought we are not alone in this journey.

Our generous and gorgeous hosts, Bridget and Tara.

Really simple, healthy and yummmmmmy desserts.

We drank from actual glasses! With no worries of toddlers knocking them off. Oh so grown-up.

Our littlest participant reminding us what all this is for.

THE HOME EXPERIENCE

Hello Ladies,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend =) I'm very excited to tell you that Tara Gallegos and I have decided to host a Home Experience group in our homes. Some of you ladies might know a little about these groups because one of the authors, Marilyn Weiher, came and spoke at a Celebration dinner for the MOMS Ministry a few years ago. This is a little summary about the Home Experience book taken from a card that Marilyn gave to me about the book.

"All five of yor senses will be engaged as Devi and Marilyn reveal principles and practices that have been tested in real life settings. Is your life fast and furious? Too busy to make dinner or spend time with your husband? Balancing family, work, and all of life's demands can certainly turn your home into a cave of confusion. Learn how to bring order into that hurried life of yours when you read THE HOME EXPERIENCE. From relationship skills and personality styles to orgnization and hospitality, journey alongside passionate mentors as they teach you how to put value and purpose into your home. Take the time to slow down this year and experience...THE HOME EXPERIENCE."

Tara and I invite you for a little "orientation" of this Home Experience group next week and my house to see if you would like experience THE HOME EXPERIENCE!! You are welcome to come around 7:30pm at my house (5465 Towbridge Dr.) on Wednesday, June 3rd, and we will give you a rough outline of what the group will be doing =) We figured that these nights will be a great way to focus on God's design for our home and our roles as wives and mothers while enjoying time together and tasting a few yummy treats! Hope everyone can make it! We look forward to seeing you then.

God Bless,
Bridget and Tara

"Your home can be loving and peaceful. As you begin walking out THE HOME EXPERIENCE priciples, you will witness restored relationships and find order where there was once chaos. Truly, the dignity and sanctity of your home will be restored."- Devi Titus

Playdate at Kara's

Belated Happy Mother's Day to all!

We have a new mommy in the playgroup. Please welcome Mary (and baby in belly) and Mark!

Kids are growing up so fast. It somehow feels like we have a new set of kids, but they are the same kids just bigger/more active/more talkative and more fun.

Mommies talked about breastfeeding (that's an endless topic, lol), having more than one child, Tara running the Cleveland (half) marathon, Ezra not catching the swine flu, how to keep house nice and clean (with kids?)and a hundred and one other topics that just pop out when ladies get together.

Thanks to our wonderful host Kara for opening her house and serving wonderful food.

Here are some pictures and see you gals at the next play date.

Mommies' (and Daddy) Night Out

Bridget and Cristina

Allison organized a night out of watching a dance show at the Cleveland Theater.
It was a great opportunity for mommies to have a night out sprinkled with a little bit of art.

It was an amazing show of how beautiful the body is. A contorted display of what the human body is capable (and what this mommy body is not). Some parts were very modern like random kids let out in the playground. Others were so synced that the dancers looked like one organic being.

This was such a nice break that I hope mommies get more chance to go out and do this.

Playdate::Thursday, April 30, 2009

Spring is such a nice season and The Farmpark of the LakeMetroparks boasts of many wonderful activities for wee ones.

They open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. We could start at 9:00 a.m. so afternoon schoolers could have enough time to make it to their buses. We could leave after lunch in time for a nap.

Food is not allowed in the park but there's a cafe that serves lunch. Menu is from $2.99-$5.99 and varies from Burgers, pizzas to salads. Information said that there's a place to picnic outside the park if we choose to bring our packed lunch. (Click here for the full menu)

Here's the link to the Farmpark website for more information.

See you there! Email me for any questions (zcaisip@gmail.com).

Wednesday Playdate

Carlene hosted the Wednesday playgroup. Tara (+Sydney and Jordan), Julia (+Natalie and Joshua) and Ezra (+Mayumi and Jakob) were in attendance.

Carlene's house was still in St. Pat's mood and she served this yummy cake she made (it was so good I forgot my name).

We discussed Spring activities (Maple Sugar Syrup Festival), the informative Hudson Preschool Parents Organization, the Easter Egg Hunt schedule (this SUNDAY!!!) and different children's bibles.

Here are some pictures of the kids in action.

They were selling gum balls at $60!

You guys are too funny!
